1920's Fortuny Ucelli 17th C French Design - A

1920's Fortuny Fabric Pillows. Ucelli pattern, 17th century French design of a bird motif. This is one of three pillows made from this vintage panel that had the Fortuny Soc. An. Fortuny signature stamp which Fortuny used from the 1920's through the 1920's. As with all of the older Fortuny this has striations and mottled appearance as each piece is unique and hand finished. Warm coppery gold color with gold metallic overlay that has aged to a dark gold. This pillow does not feature thebird but features the sweeping scroll work and leafs. Edged with copper mesh metallic cording unique to this pillow only. Backed in modern Duponi Silk. Details: 24" wide by 16" long.

This pillow features the bird at the top of the pillow along with sweeping scroll work. Edged with gold mesh metallic cording. Backed in modern Duponi Silk. Details 24" wide by 16" tall.

The face of this pillow did have some damage and was repaired using French reweaving techinque.

Face: 18th Century Italian silk polychrome velvet. Silk satin ground, Cisele velvet with both cut & un-cut velvet pile. Colors of olive  & emerald greens, purple, gray & coral. Also known as Garden style velvet. Sides: 19th century highly detailed bobble & tassel trim.,  Gold metallic trim on top & bottom. Back: Antique dark emerald green Silk velvet. Fortuny - Melagrana pattern pillow. This is one of the patterns Fortuny Inc. recently reissued, Melagrana is 16th C. Turkish Design. Color is Bordeaux & warm beige. Antique red silk knotted fringe at side seams. Backed in matching warm beige silk velvet. Condition is new except for the fringe.

Face:  19th century French raised metal and silk embroidery work on it's original silk damask. Damask has some restoration work. Center features a cartouche with an urn over flowing with flowers & foliage. Border around perimeter matching embroidery.
Backed with matching copper colored silk velvet.

Face:  1950's to 1960's vintage Fortuny Orfeo pattern of leaves on the vine. Lemon yellow ground with teal blue leaves and vines. Silver metallic pigment overlay of same style leaves and vines. Back Larsen Silk in silver color, One inch flange in matching silk.

Face: Vintage Corone in rare color way. Deep blue ground with deep red undertones. Antique white overlay.  Bottom edge of face has been pieced. Tiny red silk velvet flange in deep red.

Face: 19th Century gold Metallic Appliqué of a Griffon on a field of mesh, surrounded by Oval shaped flowers completely worked in gold metallic gilt threads,  background and back: Modern Silk. 19th century gold metallic fringe finishes this unique pillow.
Details:   11" tall  not including 2 inch fringe by 19" wide. Griffin measures 1inches wide by 6 inches tall.
