Presenting a lumbar pillow made from 1920's vintage Fortuny's Pomegranate pattern inspired by Italian 15th century textile. Deep blue ground with gold metallic overlay that has aged to a dark gold. Sides are finished with 19th c. metallic fringe. Back is modern gold silk.

Face: Late 19th century Italian Metallic brocade pillow. Gold metallic weft threads with Teal blue and cocoa brown warp. Central urn motif with scrolling leaves and vines.   Edges are finished with antique French gold metallic torchon lace and gold metallic eyelash fringe. Back is matching gold silk. Details: 21" tall with 3" fringe and 2" torchon lace 27" tall overall, 23" wide, 29" overall.

 

Fortuny - Glicine Red & Gold
Face: Fortuny pattern Glicine, in red with gold metallic overlay. Fortuny # 5072. Face has the selvage printed "R"  border applied as accent border, framing the Italian  cartouche. Back is
matching pattern with out border. Finished in
matching Fortuny welt cord trim.

border pattern embroidered to face with  vintage gold vintage metallic ribbon trim, Selvage fabric used to create 1/2" flange, with
antique gold metallic eyelash fringe. Back: Gold Silk Velvet.  Fortuny Signatures remain (inside Pillow)

Face: Fortuny M azzarino Amethyst and white color way. Center antique purple silk velvet trimmed with antique silver metallic galon. Modern tassel fringe completes the piece.
